Dashcam. A great to have feature. But is it needed? Is it actually needed? I mean, such situations of road rage and accidents are rare, don’t you think? We don’t plan on having an accident, do we? We try avoiding it. But accidents still happen. Road rage over a small issue still happens, and can level up to murder very easily. So, should you get a dashcam, or is this just one example of worrying too much?
If you would have asked me a few years ago, I would have said that you don’t need a dashcam. However, now with all the scary incidents of road rage happening over very small and stupid things, it is best to have a dashcam for your personal safety. It acts as an insurance policy, recorded proof that whatever happened wasn’t your fault, so that you get insurance coverage of your damaged car. Preferably invest in something of decent quality. You don’t need to buy the most expensive one, but don’t get a cheap one either. You never know when you might actually need it. Some cars now offer dashcam from factory, so best to go ahead with the spec that offers dashcams.
So, the verdict is a resounding yes. Get a dashcam if you can. Better to be safe then sorry.
